Jobs for people with disabilities. The integration of people with disabilities at Daimler.

Approximately 8.6 million people in Germany live with disabilities. With more than 80% of the people the disability was caused due an illness. Many had previously had a career or had completed occupation training and would gladly return to work. But only 2.6% of those concerned have a job. Many companies have doubts and reservations about employees with disabilities. At Daimler however, this is not the case - for more than 30 years the company has been committed to people with severe disabilities. People with disabilities are employed in nearly all factories - throughout the company.
