Doctorate: I hold a PhD degree on Psychophysics with a thesis entitled "The effect of training with raised-line drawings on haptic recognition of tactile two-dimensional drawings". I have also conducted a post-doctoral research on "A Scientific Audio-description Proposal for Arthropods: A Study at the Smithsonian Institute". And I have received two awards from the American Council of the Blind, USA: 2016 International and Career Achievement Awards, American Council of the Blind-Audio Description Project, American Council of the Blind. 2018 Dr. Margaret Pfanstiehl Achievement Award in Research & Development, American Council of the Blind – Audio Description Project (ACB/ADP).

Work description: I am a Professor of Inclusive Education and Human Rights of People with Disabilities and Audio Description. I have advised graduate students whose dissertations comprise the human rights of people with disabilities, attitudinal barriers against people with disabilities in the workplace and the Audio description in the theater and at school.

Work Skills: Keen researcher, I have been a team leader/manager in various research projects. Many of my projects have been of frontier expression. E.g. I was the first Audio Describer trainer in Brazil, who is totally, congenitally, blind.
